Do you live in Columbia? If so, you might be interested in joining a new nonprofit dedicated to helping people and organizations preserve the places and spaces they love. It is CoMo Preservation. It was founded May 7, 2022. On May 28, it will be celebrating its second anniversary with a Cake and Cocktails event INSIDE Cafe Berlin. Here’s a link to more information. https://www.comopreservation.org/events/5-28-24
I was one of the people who got it started and I still work with them as a volunteer and I’ll be writing content for them. Perhaps that’s something you’d like to do as well. It would be great to get to meet you.

My uncle Ed McAllister owned this house in1950. The family knew it as Springdale. It stood alone on the property, which included a number of acres.

Thanks for your comment. It would be lovely to update this entry with more information. Do you or your family happen to have any photographs? Or kow the person who owns it? I’d love to talk to the people who own it now, learn and write more about this place. It looks great and holds so much history.
